                         Gargamel's Lament

                         I ask of you
                         Why must everything be so
                         'Les Miserables'?

Blue essence is what I required
                         They had plenty to spare
Why did they resist me so?

I am but a hardworking wizard
Who dared to dream of greatness
How very dare they defy my will!

All trembled in the shadow of my genius
Fame and adulation lit my fire
World domination was my black heart's desire!

Two daughters and a son then conspired
To end my dreams of greatness
Hell hath no fury as great as their rejection of me

And here I am once again, in my lonely hovel
On top of a solitary hill
                         With my feline companion

But even he does not bring me comfort
As he is not truly my friend
                         If only Azrael, if only...
Just a little poem based on 'The Smurfs 2' If only Azrael was a human. Maybe things would have been different?
This is playing on the implied 'joke' from 'The Smurfs' where Gargamel says he can't 'quit' Azrael ;-)

Cats are better then humans, as they don't show love out of claw marks.
