The Hall at Christ Church, Oxford UK

The Hall:
Is at the centre of college life; the academic community congregates here to dine each day and on special occasions banquets are held. The Hall has a magnificent ' Hammerbeam' ceiling. Portraits of many Christ Church members hang on the walls, including John Locke, six of the thirteen Prime Ministers educated at the college, and Charles Dodgson.

Charles Dodgson better known as Lewis Carroll studied , taught and lived at Chirst Church. The then Dean's daughter, Alice Libdell, was immortilised in his 'Alice in Wonderland' stories and so too were many of the places and people they encountered at Christ Church.
The Red Queen is based upon King Henry VII who famously executed two of his wives 'Off with their heads!'
